Dear marine engineers. All my life I was fascinated to start maritime career, but because some obstacles my life went to another direction and I became a math teacher at high school. Do not want to say trivially that I want to be a seafarer to see the world. It is all about the money. And sure I like engineering on first place. My father is car mechanic and from young ages I was stick to engines and etc. Now I am 29 y.o. and want to shift my career on different rails. Decided to accomplish second education in marine engineering college. Is there anybody who may suggest if it is a right decision? What is the most perspective fleet type? Saw how oil industry went down dramatically and many good seaman lost their job. I am looking for 10 years term planning, if I could concentrate on particular ships to learn them.
